Low Cost In-Line AOI

Landrex Optima 7301 Express™In-Line AOI - Landrex Optima 7301 and the 7310

Introducing the Second Generation of the Optima AOI System, the Optima II 7301 and the 7310 . The same exceptional performance that you’ve come to expect from the Optima, but at a much lower price than the original!

You no longer a need to sacrifice performance for lower price. Landrex has lowered the cost of manufacturing and updated key system components to allow us to offer the Optima II 7301 and 7310 at a very competitive price, and with no sacrifice in inspection coverage or quality from the original Optima 7300™.

Landrex put the same great attention to detail in the 7301™ and 7310™. Two examples: 1) We laser scan the board and create a warp map to insure accurate inspection from angled cameras, this prevents parallax errors and erroneous inspection results. 2) Ten Phase image capture allows 10 images of each field of view in a single scan to insure maximum inspection coverage

Highest Throughput In-Line AOI

With the lowest false-flag rate in the industry. Five cameras insure full coverage of all detectable faults at full production line rates. We offer short programming cycles for rapid prototyping and quick ramp to volumes. A programming wizard is employed to help insure a very short learning curve.

Repair Pro and process-data software help improve your product and process quality. Full offline programming provides maximum productivity and is now offered as part of E.0 system software. An Access Database and SPC Pro give you the tools to monitor and control your process.

Optima™ 7250 Optical Process Test Systems for post chip-shoot, post fine-pitch applications

Introducing the OPTIMA OPT (Optical Process Test) Systems from Landrex. The Optima OPT System is a breakthrough in machine vision systems and is optimized for in-process use at the post placement stage. The Optima OPT system contains patented image analysis technology to test PCBAs for placement defects in a single pass, while also delivering outstanding in-line process monitoring capability.

Comprehensive defect detection and process monitoring of SMT component placement
Uparalleled repeatability
Rapid program development
Greater yield
Reduced repair time and expenses
Reduced WIP and expenses

Highlighted System Features Include:

Configural Recognition™ Configural Recognition technology is the basis for the new family of Optima OPT systems. Configural recognition builds in SMD process knowledge, the awareness of key features, and tolerance to normal process variation. Configural Recognition eliminates the perpetual program tweaking and user skill & experience requirements of earlier machine vision solutions. The result is reliable, repeatable operation even in very low volume, high mix applications, with predictably short programming cycles.

VARI-Smart™ technology for built-in normal variation tolerance: The Optima OPT systems incorporates patented machine vision technology to compensate for common and normal variations in the PCB being tested. Process, part and board changes can be accommodated without user program changes or system down time. VARI-Smart Technology eliminates the continuous program tweaking common to competitive systems to correct for variations in component colouring or markings.

One hour, one board programming: Experienced operators can develop a viable, production-ready test program for a board in as little as one hour, with as small as a single PCB required. VARI-Smart™ technology in the Optima OPT systems understands normal process variation, and does not require large board volumes or long production runs to pre-establish the normal variation present. The result is consistent across production runs from board 1 onward.

Elimination of perpetual tweaking and tuning: VARI-Smart™ built-in normal variation tolerance in the Optima OPT systems, production tweaking or tuning of programs required with alternative machine vision systems is eliminated, and test thresholds validate the object under test, not the variation present. The result is consistent and stable optical test results.

OCV capability: With Optical Character Verification the Optima OPT systems includes the capability to validate markings as part of the test program.

NPI compatible, "Any-volume" operation: Low volume. High mix. Medium volume. High volume. It doesn't matter. Optima OPT systems work in any volume mix requirement - from board volumes of one to board volumes of millions. New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Introduction Centres (PIC) will find Optima OPT ideal for testing versions of new designs. Unlike AOI systems that require the large volumes of PCBs to set inspection limits, Optima OPT systems tests can be created with a single PCB example and deliver outstanding coverage in the NPI environment, shortening machine setup times and increasing customer quality.

20 ppm false flag rate: With VARI-Smart™ compensation for normal variation, excessive false flag rates caused by normal variation are eliminated, and human re-inspection can be avoided.

Gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R): The Optima OPT systems tests your process variance to detect changes in conditions which, left unchecked, cause defects later in the process. Optima OPT systems are capable of testing for positional compliance to a GR&R within 0.133 mil/.0033 mm, on real boards, in real production. Not just with perfect lab conditions. It works in the real world -- the one you live in.

0201 capable: Optima OPT systems are 0201 capable now, ready for the next generation of high functionality personal wireless electronics.

Program transportability: The VARI-Smart™ technology of the Optima OPT systems allows test programs to be deployed across multiple systems without the need for additional debugging or tweaking. Variation is compensated for automatically, meaning programs can be more easily transferred between lines or facilities without program change.

Repair Pro™ Repair Station Software Optima repair-station software complements the high speed and accuracy of the Optima 7300 AOI system. Repair station software presents the operator with board specific failure data taken from the 7300 system and collects operator repair data, actions and comments. An easy-to-use interface makes operator learning curves short. Multiple security levels allow operators of differing skill to use the software at the appropriate level of functionality. Programmer-level privileges allow unrestricted access and control to alter screen prompts and responses. PC Windows NT operation only.

SPC Pro™ Statistical Process Monitoring Software Optima statistical process monitoring software validates process stability by measuring defect populations across multiple boards inspected, showing process trending by measuring AOI inspection pass and fail results in real time. The statistical package supports common analysis defects including sums, averages, run rates, and failure paretos. And SPC Pro exports to Microsoft Excel for custom reports of your own design.
